From Reservation to Leadership: My Journey with Alpha Phi Omega
Reflecting on my college days, I recall a reserved young man navigating through school and dorm life with a handful of friends. I hesitated at first when my friends who were already a member of Alpha Phi Omega extended an invitation to join. The idea of joining a fraternity initially seemed challenging, considering the negative perceptions surrounding Greek life.
After careful consideration, I took a leap of faith and embraces the opportunity start my journey of becoming an APO Pledgee. What followed was a transformative experience, it was like a roller coaster ride filled with invaluable lessons. Each hardship I encountered became a stepping stone for my personal growth, shaping me into a more mature and responsible individual.
Through Alpha Phi Omega, I discovered a wealth of opportunities beyond my wildest imagination – from career to unexpected acts of kindness and the enduring bonds of brotherhood. My active involvement in APO activities across the Philippines ultimately led me to become part or organizing the Alpha Phi Omega Libmanan-Cabusao Alumni Association and assume the role of the first President of the APO Mu Eta Alumni Association for the term 2021-2023.
In this leadership role, I had the privilege of demonstrating unwavering dedication to serving others, guided by the cardinal principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service. My journey with Alpha Phi Omega has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I am profoundly grateful for the countless ways it has enriched my life and empowered me to make a meaningful impact on those around me.
